NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND POTENTIAL ADOPTION OF NEW ZONING ORDINANCE AND AMENDED ZONING DISTRICT MAPNorth Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania In accordance with Sections 608 and 609 of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act of 1968, P.L. 805, No 247, as amended (the "MPC"), 53 P.S. §§ 10608-10609, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors (the "Board") of North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania (the "Township"), will hold a public hearing at the Township's municipal building located at 3256 Levans Road, Coplay, Pennsylvania 18037, during the Board's regularly scheduled public meeting commencing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1st, 2025, for the purpose of receiving public comment on the Township's proposed new zoning ordinance ("New Zoning Ordinance") and new zoning district map ("New Zoning Map"). Notice is also hereby provided in accordance with Section 610 of the MPC, 53 P.S. § 10610, and Section 1601 of the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code, Act of 1933, P.L. 103, No. 69, as amended (the "SCTC"), 53 P.S. § 66601, that the Board will consider adoption of Ordinance No. 2025-3 (the "Ordinance") during the Supervisors' regularly scheduled public meeting described above. The Ordinance repeals the Township's current official zoning ordinance and official zoning district map in their entirety and replaces same with the New Zoning Ordinance and New Zoning Map, respectively. The following constitutes a brief summary of the Ordinance as prepared by the Township Solicitor. The title of Ordinance No. 2025-3 is "AN ORDINANCE OF NORTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA ADOPTING NEW ZONING ORDINANCE AND NEW ZONING DISTRICT MAP." The purpose of the Ordinance is to enact the Township's New Zoning Ordinance and New Zoning Map. The purpose of the New Zoning Ordinance is to regulate the location and intensity of land uses on properties located within the Township, and the New Zoning Map identifies which such regulations apply to each property located within the Township. The Ordinance contains legislative findings, a severability clause, and provides that the Ordinance will become effective immediately upon its adoption. The Ordinance contains two (2) exhibits—the New Zoning Ordinance and the New Zoning Map—both of which are incorporated into the Ordinance by reference. The Ordinance repeals the Township's current zoning ordinance and current zoning district map, and such repeals are effective as of the effective date of the New Zoning Ordinance and New Zoning Map. The Ordinance also provides that the New Zoning Ordinance and New Zoning Map shall be codified in Chapter 440 of the Code of the Township of North Whitehall.
