Notice is hereby given that on November 10, 2025 at 5:00 p.m., the Banks Township Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing in the Township Building, 1 East Maple Street, Tresckow, Pennsylvania.
The purpose of the public meeting is to discuss, inform and receive public comments on proposed Amendment of the Zoning Ordinance for Banks Township. The Township will be considering an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance relating to specific standards for the regulation of Data Centers within the township.
Notice is further given that the Banks Township Board of Supervisors, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, will conduct its regular meeting on November 10, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Township Building, 1 East Maple Street, Tresckow, Pennsylvania which will include consideration of the amendment to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to Data Centers.
At the Meeting, the Board of Supervisors will discuss, inform and receive public comments on the proposed Data Center amendment to the zoning Ordinance for Banks Township. The Township intends to adopt an amendment to the Ordinance for Banks Township.
The proposed amendments address the following:
Section 1. Definitions
Section 2. Zoning District amended being Article V, Section 504 M-1 Industrial District as a conditional use in this district
Section 3. Accessory Uses by Conditional Use in the M-1 Industrial Zoning District when approved in compliance with the procedures, standards, and criteria contained in this section.
Section 4. Requirements and Regulations for Data Centers
Section 5. Repealer
Section 6. Effective Date

Budget Notice
The proposed Budget for fiscal year 2026 for Washington Township. Lehigh County has been prepared and tentatively approved with a millage rate of .5 and is open for public inspection at the Township Municipal Office at 7951 Center Street, Emerald PA, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday beginning November 6th, 2025. The final Budget will be considered for adoption at the December 2nd, 2025 meeting of the Washington Township Board of Supervisors at 7:30 PM at the Township Municipal Building.
