SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP PUBLIC NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF 2026 FISCAL YEAR PROPOSED BUDGET FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 1701 (b.1) of the First Class Township Code that the Board of Commissioners of South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is making available for public inspection the South Whitehall Township proposed budget for all funds (including the General Fund, Fire Fund, Water Fund, Sewer Fund, Refuse Fund, Capital Fund, Open Space Fund, ARPA Fund, Debt Fund and State Highway Aid Fund) for the 2026 calendar/fiscal year. Within the 2026 proposed budget, the real estate tax rate for 2026 remains the same at 2.84975 mills and the fire tax rate increases from 0.47 mills to 0.75 mills. The proposed budget is available for public inspection and copying at the office of the Township Secretary and Finance Department, which is located at the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building, 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, PA, 18104, on any regular business day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. prevailing time. The proposed budget is also available for inspection on the South Whitehall Township website at: https://www.southwhitehall.com/departments/finance/township-budget The date fixed by the Board of Commissioners for the adoption of the budget is Wednesday, December 3, 2025, which is not less than twenty (20) days from the date of this Notice. Final adoption of the 2026 proposed budget will be considered at the regular meeting of the South Whitehall Township Board of Commissioners to take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the South Whitehall Township Municipal Building, which is located at 4444 Walbert Avenue, Allentown, PA 18014.
