Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA, Council considered and took final action upon an Ordinance pursuant to the Local Government Unit Debt Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. Section 8001 et seq., which, among other things, authorizes the incurring of non-electoral debt through the issuance of the Borough's Tax-Exempt General Obligation Note to Peoples Security Bank and Trust Company in the aggregate principal amount of $1,675,000.00 (the "Ordinance"). The title (which summarizes the provisions contained in the Ordinance) is as follows:
"AN ORDINANCE

The only change made to the Ordinance as adopted from the form previously published was to add "community center" to what is to be constructed, as it appears in the Caption.
The Note is being purchased at the face amount of $1,675,000 and the interest rate is fixed for the term of the Note at 4.39%.
