NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of Jim Thorpe Borough will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of Jim Thorpe Borough. The hearing will be held on November 13, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall located at 115 E. 10th Street, Jim Thorpe, PA. The summary of the contents of the Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is as follows: 1. A new Section 500-116 will be added regarding non-residential parking lots. This Section sets forth definitions, the requirement for an annual license and regulations of off-street parking. 2. Nonresidential parking lots will be permitted as a primary use, or as a secondary use in all zoning districts within the Borough subject to the restrictions set forth in the Ordinance. No person shall operate or conduct business as a non-residential parking lot without obtaining an annual license.
