INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Lehigh County Housing Authority, "LCHA", will receive
sealed bids for:
"Trash and Recycling Removal", in various sites in the Lehigh Valley
and Northampton Counties
Bid documents/specifications package may be obtained by sending an e-mail to the mailbox; bid@lcha-vhdc.org.
The project will consist of work to be performed under a single contract for trash hauling and recycling. It is required that the firm that engaged in the trash removal and hauling for not less than the most recent ten (10) years. It is also required that all sub-contractors have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the trade for which they would be engaged. Bidders are advised that payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specifications must be paid on this project.
Bids will be received until 1:00 PM, prevailing time, Friday, October 24, 2025, in the office of LCHA, 333 Ridge Street, Emmaus, Pa, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The LCHA solicits and encourages Women and Minority Business Enterprise participation. The LCHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informality in the bidding process. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of LCHA.

The Upper Macungie Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday October 8th, 2025, at 6:30 P.M., at the Upper Macungie Township Municipal Building, 8330 Schantz Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031 to hear the following application:
#09 25 14 The application of 6352 Chapmans, LP; for variances from Section 27-307.2.C.d. and Section 27-806.3.A.(1)(a) & (b) of the Upper Macungie Township Zoning Ordinance in order to construct a 3,999 square foot addition to an existing commercial building with an existing non-conforming side yard setback of 27.46 feet. The proposed addition will result in a side yard building setback of 7.96 feet. Section 27-307.2.C.d. of the Zoning Ordinance requires a 30-foot side yard building setback in the LI Zoning District and Sections 27-806.3.A.(1)(a) & (b) of the Zoning Ordinance state a nonconforming structure may be expanded, provided: (a) That such action will not increase the severity or amount of the nonconformity (such as the area of the building extending into the required setback) or create any new nonconformity and (b) That any expanded area will comply with the applicable setbacks in that district and other requirements of this Chapter.
