Notice of Public Hearing NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Jim Thorpe Borough Zoning Hearing Board will meet at Memorial Hall, 115 E. 10th St, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229, on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 6 P.M. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the application of John W. Bowman, III who is appealing the Zoning Officer's notice of violation, denying the keeping of animals on his property, located within the R-3 Zoning District. The Zoning Officer's letter states that the keeping of animals is not permitted on the subject property due to lot size deficiency and cites that the variance request for such before the ZHB had been denied. The property, known as 509 South Street, is located in Jim Thorpe Borough, Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The property is further identified as Parcel ID: 82A2-15-H21.
