Notice is hereby given that the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners will consider for possible adoption an ordinance, of which this Notice is a summary, that proposes and is entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP CODE CHAPTER 27, ZONING, AT PART 1, SECTION 108, "SAVINGS CLAUSE," TO ADD A PROVISION REGARDING USES NOT SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED FOR IN THE ZONING CODE; AND AT PART 2, SECTION 202, "DEFINITION OF TERMS," TO REVISE, ADD, AND DELETE CERTAIN DEFINITIONS; AND AT CERTAIN SECTIONS OF PART 10 – C – COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, TO BE RENAMED AS PART 10A – C – COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, AND PART 10B – WESCOSVILLE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, AND PART 10C – HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, AND PART 22 – SIGNS, AND PART 23 – OFF STREET PARKING AND LOADING, TO UPDATE AND REVISE CERTAIN ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATIONS, STANDARDS, AND REQUIREMENTS WITHIN SAID PARTS; AND AT PART 24, SECTION 2403, "PROCEDURES FOR REVIEW OF CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATIONS," TO UPDATE THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES WITHIN SAID SECTION" The purpose of these amendments is to address uses not specifically provided for in the Zoning code; to revise, add and delete certain definitions of terms; to update and clarify certain standards and regulations in the commercial zoning districts; to update and revise certain requirements regarding the signage regulations and off-street parking and loading regulations; and to modify certain conditional use application procedures.
