Zoning Hearing #2025-11
The Washington Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Washington Township Municipal Building, located at 7951 Center Street, Emerald, PA 18080, to hear the following request:
Gil & Barbara Resto, for property located at 8252 Rextown Road, have requested a hearing alleging the Zoning Officer has misinterpreted a part of the zoning ordinance dealing with an application submitted to erect an 80' x 150' (12,000 SF) building "attached" to the dwelling unit with a 12' x 44' addition with stairs. The proposed use of the 12,000 SF building is for "indoor recreational and home-gym space by their active family". The Zoning Officer determined, due to the proposed size of the structure, it was creating a second principal use on a property located in the Rural (R) zoning district.
The Zoning Hearing Board will take testimony, deliberate, and may vote on this request at this hearing. A full copy of this application is on file at the Township Office and is available for viewing during normal business hours.
