BOROUGH OF NORTH CATASAUQUA
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of North Catasauqua will conduct a public hearing and consider the adoption of the ordinance summarized herein, at a meeting on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Borough Hall, 1066 Fourth Street, North Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, 18032. At said meeting, Council shall consider enacting, and if appropriate, will take a vote on adopting "An Ordinance of the Borough of North Catasauqua, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, Fixing the Tax Rate for the Year 2026."
The proposed ordinance sets a millage rate to raise revenue for general Borough purposes of $2.00 per $100.00 of the assessed value of taxable property for Fiscal Year 2026. In accordance with § 6924.306 of the Local Tax Enabling Act and in the judgment of Borough Council, the tax increase is necessary to fund the operations of the Borough and to support the budgeted expenditures outlined in the Borough's 2026 budget as published. The amount of revenue expected to be derived from the tax rate is One Million Four Hundred Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($1,415,616.00).
The full proposed text of said ordinance may be examined by any citizen at the Office of the Borough of North Catasauqua, located at 1066 Fourth Street, North Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, 18032, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until the date of the aforesaid Borough Council Meeting. Copies of the proposed ordinance may be obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof. Persons with disabilities who require any auxiliary aid, service, or other accommodation to observe or participate in the public hearing on said proposed ordinance should contact the Borough Office at least five (5) days before the above date to discuss how their needs may be best accommodated.

The proposed Budget for fiscal year 2026 for Washington Township. Lehigh County has been prepared and tentatively approved with a millage rate of .5 and is open for public inspection at the Township Municipal Office at 7951 Center Street, Emerald PA, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday beginning November 6th, 2025. The final Budget will be considered for adoption at the December 2nd, 2025 meeting of the Washington Township Board of Supervisors at 7:30 PM at the Township Municipal Building.
