ATTENTION Northeastern Schuylkill Joint Municipal Authority (NESJMA) Customers: Due to the rising cost of operating the plant: cost of chemicals, State Permits and laboratory work, we must raise our quarterly fee. Starting with the January 2026 billing cycle, the following rate will go into effect. The billing rate will increase from $189.00 to $203.00 per quarter. The increase is $4.66 per month which equals to $14.00 per quarter which equals $56.00 per year. We regret raising the billing rate but to cover the expenses of the plant, we see no other way. The above-named pension system and municipality is seeking proposals for the following professional services for the municipal pension system(s) administered by the system and municipality:
1. Custodial services to provide secure possession, investment placement and reporting of pension assets.
2. Investment counseling services to provide sound strategies for the stability, preservation, and growth of pension assets
3. Actuarial services to provide data and information relative to the funding adequacy of the municipal pension system(s) administered by the township pension system.
4. Administrative services to provide counseling, educational, and documentation services for the system(s) day to day pension operations.
The specifications for the requested services shall relate to applicants' qualifications, experience, expertise, and desired compensation with respect to the requested services; and such other specifications as may be required by state or federal law. A RESOLUTION OF THE Township of HANOVER, County of Northampton, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, fixing the tax rates for the year 2026.
BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED, and it is hereby resolved and enacted by the Board of Township Supervisors of the Township of Hanover, County of Northampton, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:
That a tax be and the same is hereby levied on all real property and within the said Municipality subject to taxation for the fiscal year 2026 as follows:
Tax rate for general purposes, the sum of 3.40 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation or the sum of 34.0 cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation.
Tax rate for fire tax purposes, the sum of 0.75 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation or the sum of 7.5 cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation.
