The Ashfield Quarry is located in East Penn Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania and is located on the Lehighton, PA 7.5-minute USGS Topographic Quadrangle. The permit area is 203.6 acres and is situated southeast of the intersection of West Lizard Creek Road and Germans Road in Lehighton, PA. The center of the Quarry is located approximately 16.7 inches west and 6.2 inches north of the bottom right-hand corner of the Quadrangle. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the East Penn Township Office, 167 Municipal Road, Lehighton, PA 18235. Written comment, objections, or a request for public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the PA DEP, Pottsville District Mining Office, 5 West Laurel Boulevard, Pottsville, PA 17901 by February 17, 2026 and must include the person's name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement as to the nature of the objection(s).
