NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township of Lower Towamensing intends to pass an Ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF LOWER TOWAMENSING IMPOSING AN AMUSEMENT TAX." This tax known as the Amusement Tax shall be a tax upon the admission fee or privilege to attend or engage in any amusement within the Township of Lower Towamensing at the rate of 5% of the established price charged to the general public. It is a tax for the purpose of generating revenue for the health, safety and welfare of the Township of Lower Towamensing. The amount of revenue estimated to be derived from this tax is $65,000.00. A separate advertisement will appear setting forth the provisions of the Ordinance and stating where the Ordinance may be examined by anyone who wishes to inspect it.
