NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Upper Macungie, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania (the "Township"), shall consider and, if appropriate enact, at a public meeting to be held at the Upper Macungie Township Building, 8330 Schantz Road, Breinigsville, Pennsylvania 18031, at 7:00 P.M., prevailing time, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, an ordinance (the "Ordinance"), the caption and summary of such proposed Ordinance (proposed as Upper Macungie Township Ordinance No. 2026- 04) being as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF UPPER MACUNGIE, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 27 (ZONING) OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF UPPER MACUNGIE, KNOWN AS THE UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 27 AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. SPECIFICALLY, THIS ORDINANCE ADDS A NEW DEFINITION; AMENDS THE TABLE OF LOT AND SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NC, HC, LI, LI(L), GI AND RT DISTRICTS (CHAPTER 27 SECTION 307.2.C) RELATED TO PROVIDING FOR AND REGULATION OF "AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEMS" OR "AS/RS" ALL OF WHICH ARE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE AND ALL OF WHICH ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PENNSYLVANIA MUNICIPALITIES PLANNING CODE, ACT 247 OF 1968, P.L. 805, NO. 247, AS REENACTED AND AMENDED, 53 P.S. §10609.
The proposed Ordinance is available for public inspection in the office of the Township Secretary, located in the Upper Macungie Township Municipal Building at the address provided above, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. A copy of the Ordinance may also be examined at the offices of The Lehigh Valley Press, 1633 North 26th Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania as well as The Lehigh County Department of Law located at Lehigh County Government Center 17 South 7th Street Allentown, PA 18101 where it may be inspected.
