All bidders are required to conform to the bid specifications. Chemicals shall be delivered on the dates and times and in the quantities requested and may be ordered individually. Chemicals are to be delivered within 3 working days of placing an order. All suppliers shall provide all the necessary unloading equipment for their products, including any necessary pumps for off-loading magnesium hydroxide to the Wastewater storage tank. Chemicals for the Water Filtration Plant, Germantown Control Building and/or Sewer Plant shall not be delivered by tractor-trailer due to narrow roads and bridges. All trucks must have a lift gate for all chemicals delivered. Deliveries to the Water Filtration Plant and Sewer Plant shall be during regular working hours, which are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except Borough holidays. Bids are to include delivery charges. All bidders shall include a statement from the suppliers on their policy, procedures, and cost for the return of all empty chemical drums and/or totes. All bidders shall collect all empty chemical drums and/or totes, upon delivery or replacement of new drums/totes of chemicals. This is a one-year contract only; there will be no renewals. Successful bidder shall be required to provide the following items prior to the first delivery: -Safety Data Sheets (SDS) pertaining to the Chemicals delivered -Certificate of Analysis for each chemical delivered for the Water & Sewer Plants -All water chemicals MUST have NSF/ANSI Standard 60 Approval Bids are to be submitted in a plain envelope clearly marked "CHEMICAL BIDS" and delivered to the Borough Office, 115 East Tenth Street, Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229.
