NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCES TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Borough of Slatington will consider the following Ordinances at a public hearing on Monday, April 13th, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The hearing will be held at Borough Hall, 125 South Walnut Street, Slatington, Pennsylvania. The following is a summary of the proposed Ordinances: Ordinance No. 729 AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 41 TO THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF SLATINGTON, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, TO CREATE THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOWN BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE AND ESTABLISH THE RESPONSIBILITIES, MEMBERSHIP, APPOINTMENT, TERMS, OFFICERS AND ANNUAL REPORTING FOR THE COMMITTEE Ordinance No. 730 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF SLATINGTON, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, TO CREATE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CONNECTIONS TO THE WATER SYSTEM AND SEWER SYSTEM AND TO SET FORTH THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PERMITS,THE POWERS AND AUTHORITY OF INSPECTORS AND PAYMENT FOR INSPECTION FEES; REPEALER, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE Ordinance No. 731 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CHAPTER OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF SLATINGTON, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, TO CREATE THE POSITION OF FIRE COMMISSIONER AND CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL; REQUIREMENTS, POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE POSITION AND RELATED PROCEDURES Inspection and copies of the complete proposed Ordinances are available for review by the public at Borough Hall, by contacting the administration office, and will also be on file at this newspaper.
