NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the Board of Supervisors of Towamensing Township until 3:30 p.m. on Thursday April 30, 2026, at the Towamensing Township Municipal Building, 120 Stable Road, Lehighton, PA 18235 for the following Contract: "2026 Asphalt Seal Coat Project" on various streets in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, PA 49,004 Square Yards Double Bituminous Seal Coat All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders need to be PENNDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposals shall be marked "2026 Asphalt Seal Coat Project – Bid Proposal for Letting of April 30, 2026". Proposal forms, specifications and bid information can be obtained at the Towamensing Township Municipal Building at the above address or by calling Patricia Kuehner, Secretary, at 610-681-4202, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Towamensing Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within twenty (20) days of the award of the contract. All bids will be opened and read publicly at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday April 30, 2026, at the Municipal Building and pending review, awarded at the Thursday May 7, 2026, regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors Meeting at approximately 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The Towamensing Township Board of Supervisors reserve the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Township. Notice is hereby given that on April 22, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., the Nesquehoning Borough Council will conduct a public hearing in the Borough Building, 114 West Catawissa Street, Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the public meeting is to discuss, inform and receive public comments on proposed Amendment of the Zoning Ordinance for Nesquehoning Borough. The Borough Council will be considering an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance relating to specific standards for the regulation of Data Centers within the Borough. The proposed amendments address the following: Section 1. Part 2, Section 27-202 Definitions to be amended to include definitions for Data Center, Data Center Accessory Use and Data Center Campus Section 2. Zoning Use Controls, Section 22-404.1 (Schedule 27-1) to be amended to add a row beneath F 9SIC-40-49) to have land use category as 4 and Data Centers to be added with a special use designation in the I-1 district Section 3. A New section 27-609.D to be added relative to Data Centers, Data Center Accessory Uses and Data Center Campuses with attendant regulations thereunder including but not limited to Design and Installation for Data Centers; Decommissioning; Setbacks, Placement and Height Restrictions for Data Centers; Connection and Operation in Conjunction with Public Electrical Systems Section 4.
