BOROUGH OF NORTH CATASAUQUA
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of North Catasauqua will conduct a public hearing and consider the adoption of the ordinance summarized herein, at a meeting on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. At said meeting, Council shall consider enacting, and if appropriate, will take a vote on adopting "An Ordinance of the Borough of North Catasauqua, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, Amending Title Seven – Vehicles and Traffic."
The proposed ordinance ordains and opens the portion of Ridge Street between the southern border of Northampton Borough and Wyandotte Street in North Catasauqua Borough.
The full proposed text of said ordinance may be examined by any citizen at the Office of the Borough of North Catasauqua, located at 1066 Fourth Street, North Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, 18032, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until the date of the aforesaid Borough Council Meeting. Copies of the proposed ordinance may be obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof. Persons with disabilities who require any auxiliary aid, service, or other accommodation to observe or participate should contact the Borough Office at least five (5) days before the above date to discuss how your needs may be best accommodated.

Lower Macungie Township will receive sealed bids for its 2026 Roadway Maintenance Program which includes a double application of Asphalt Seal Coat along four Township roadways (37,535 SY). The work will also include the removal and replacement of all pavement markings. Copies of the Specifications and Bid Forms will be available at no cost on PennBID, available at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com. Sealed bids will be received until 9:00 AM (prevailing time) on April 27, 2026. Bid results will be made available on PennBID after bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified or bank check, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of PennDOT Pub. 408, made payable to Lower Macungie Township, in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in an amount equal to the Contract Price and meeting PennDOT Publication 408, Section 103.04 requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified per PennDOT Pub. 408, Section 102. This project is considered maintenance and is not subject to the terms and conditions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as determined by the Secretary of Labor and Industry, and is to be bid as such. The successful bidder is assessed a variable award fee from PennBID. Lower Macungie Township reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all Bids.

NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of Supervisors of Upper Milford Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, that they will conduct a public hearing and thereafter consider and act upon proposed Ordinance No. 176 entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF UPPER MILFORD TOWNSHIP, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA PROVIDING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE REVISION TO THE UPPER MILFORD TOWNSHIP SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE OF 2010, AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED" at a public meeting to be held on May 21, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Milford Township Municipal Building located in Old Zionsville, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
Briefly summarized, the proposed Ordinance is being updated to make it consistent with the 2017 Southwestern Lehigh County Comprehensive Plan, the 2019 Future Lehigh Valley Regional Plan and the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. Revisions include updating definitions which are no longer applicable or used and adding definitions as needed, updating checklist requirements, revising recreation land provisions, updating construction standards and updating landscaping provisions.
All interested citizenry are invited to attend and comment during the public hearing. A certified copy of this Ordinance is on file with the Upper Milford Township Secretary and may be inspected by the public during normal business hours. In addition, a true and correct copy of this Ordinance has been supplied to this newspaper.
