BOROUGH OF TAMAQUA POLICE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION NOTICE OF CIVIL SERVICE TESTING Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Tamaqua Police Civil Service Commission has extended the deadline for applications for Civil Service Testing for the position(s) of full-time Police Officer. The new deadline for applications will be June 12, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. All applicants for the examination must submit a completed application form. Application forms are available at the Borough of Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 E. Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A $35.00 fee will be charged for each application submitted and must be paid at the time of submission. Checks must be payable to the "Borough of Tamaqua". Applicants for testing must be a U.S. citizen, must have completed Act 120 training before the written examination date of June 19, 2026, be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or a GED, and must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. Selected applicants will also undergo a credit check, a character and background investigation, a medical examination, and a psychological examination.
