LEGAL NOTICE INVITATION TO BID THE CATASAUQUA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT will receive sealed bids for: Francis Sheckler Elementary School Built-In Pass-Through Heated Holding and Refrigeration Unit Replacement (SHECKLER KITCHEN EQUIPMENT BID) Bid documents and specifications are available beginning on May 20, 2026 at 9:00 AM and can be obtained electronically from Dan Muthersbaugh at muthersb@cattysd.org. Prospective bidders shall furnish their company name, name of representative, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and fax number at the time they request to obtain bid documents. Bid submissions may be submitted either as hard copy or electronically as outlined in the bid documents. Electronic bids received before the bid deadline shall be deemed as properly received and publicly opened with all other bids. Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring timely receipt of bids prior to the stated submission deadline. Regardless of submission type, bids must be clearly marked "BID – SHECKLER KITCHEN EQUIPMENT" and all requested bid documents, completed in their entirety, must be included in the submission. Bidders' proposals must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, treasurer's check, or bid bond with satisfactory corporate surety. The amount of the proposal security shall be no less than 10% of the total amount bid. Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 AM EST prevailing time on June 5, 2026 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud, immediately following the deadline for receipt, at the Administrative Offices of the Catasauqua Area School District located at 201 North 14th Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The CATASAUQUA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT encourages participation by small businesses, minority-owned businesses, and women-owned businesses. This solicitation is issued in accordance with Pennsylvania Public School Code of 1949 and all applicable Federal, State, and Local procurement laws. The SHECKLER KITCHEN EQUIPMENT BID is being funded in whole or in part with Federal funds. Accordingly, bidders must comply with all applicable Federal laws, regulations, executive orders, and requirements, including, but not limited to, 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Guidance. The contract shall be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in compliance with applicable law. The CATASAUQUA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, irregularities, defects, errors, or omissions in any bid, and to award the contract in the best interest of the District.
