PUBLIC NOTICE – CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR THE LOWHILL TOWNSHIP ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COUNCIL (EAC) Lowhill Township is seeking residents to serve on the newly established Environmental Advisory Council (EAC), created pursuant to Township Ordinance No. 2026-03. The Environmental Advisory Council shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors consistent with applicable Pennsylvania law and Township ordinances. The Council may assist the Township in the review of environmental matters, including but not limited to natural resource protection, agricultural preservation, open space preservation, greenway planning, stormwater management practices, environmental sustainability initiatives, and the environmental impacts associated with subdivision, land development, and other planning matters affecting the Township. The Environmental Advisory Council serves solely in an advisory capacity and shall not exercise regulatory or enforcement authority. The Township encourages practical, balanced environmental stewardship that supports the preservation of Lowhill Township's rural and agricultural character while respecting private property rights and responsible land use planning. The Township is seeking to appoint three (3) to five (5) members to the Council. Initial appointments may be for staggered terms in accordance with the establishing ordinance. Following the initial appointments, regular terms shall be as provided by Township ordinance. Eligibility Requirements: Ÿ Must be a resident of Lowhill Township. Ÿ Demonstrated interest, experience, or background in environmental issues, land use, agriculture, conservation, engineering, planning, forestry, water resources, environmental sciences, or related fields is preferred, but not required. Ÿ Proof of residency may be required prior to appointment. Potential Duties May Include: Ÿ Advising the Board of Supervisors on environmental matters affecting the Township Ÿ Reviewing subdivision and land development plans for environmental considerations Ÿ Assisting with implementation of the Comprehensive Plan, greenway initiatives, and open space objectives Ÿ Recommending conservation strategies and best management practices Ÿ Assisting with future Lowhill Township conservation, environmental stewardship, and open space preservation programs Ÿ Promoting awareness of environmental resources and responsible land stewardship within the Township Members may be required to comply with applicable Township ethics and conflict-of-interest policies. Meetings will be held as needed at the Lowhill Township Municipal Building. Positions are voluntary and uncompensated. Appointments will be made by the Board of Supervisors at a public meeting. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Hanover Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, will consider for adoption at a public hearing to be held at 7:00 P.M. on the 23rd day of June, 2026 at the Hanover Township Municipal Building, 3630 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, an Ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances by defining and adding specific requirements for Data Centers and Data Center Accessory Uses. Copies of the full proposed text of the Ordinance summarized below may be examined by any citizen of the Township of Hanover at the Office of the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Hanover, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, at 3630 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, during normal business hours. The following is a brief summary of the Ordinance in reasonable detail: HANOVER TOWNSHIP NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE HANOVER TOWNSHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES BY DEFINING AND ADDING SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR DATA CENTERS AND DATA CENTER ACCESSORY USES. WHEREAS, Article VI of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, 53 P.S. § 10601, et seq., authorizes Hanover Township to enact, amend and repeal Zoning Ordinances within the Township of Hanover; and WHEREAS, the Board deems it to be in the best interest and general welfare of the residents of Hanover Township to update and amend provisions of the Hanover Township's Zoning Ordinance to provide for Data Centers and Data Center Accessory Uses; and WHEREAS, the Board of Hanover Township desires to add provisions to the Zoning Ordinance relating to Data Centers and Data Center Accessory Uses. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED, by the Board of Hanover Township as follows: Section 1. Chapter 185, Article II, Section 180-12. is amended to add Definitions for Data Center and Data center Accessory Use. Section 2. Chapter 185, Article VIII, Section 185-35 Regulations applicable to PIBD Planned Industrial/Business District is amended to add new Section 185-35 D. (29). Section 3. Chapter 185, Article VIII, Section 185-38, applicable to AFHBD Aircraft Flightpath Highway Business District is amended to revise Section 185-38 D. (11) (e). Section 4. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Borough of Catasauqua ("Owner") will receive sealed bids electronically via the PennBid Program from qualified Respondents for a service contract ("Contract") for general repairs, maintenance and emergency repairs to Borough-owned utilities and facilities, including but not limited to the Borough's wastewater treatment plant, water treatment facility, water distribution system, and sanitary sewer and storm sewer collection systems. Work under this Contract shall be assigned by the Borough via issuance of individual Work Orders for specified tasks and/or projects, as necessary. The Contract is intended to be in effect for a duration of three (3) years, with the potential for renewal for up to two (2) additional one-year terms.
