Notice is hereby given the Board of Supervisors of Upper Macungie Township will conduct a Special Meeting on Tuesday July 21, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Upper Macungie Community Lifestyle Center, Multipurpose Room, 340 Grange Road, Allentown, Pennsylvania 18106. The purpose of the meeting will be held in order for the Board of Supervisors to accept the resignation of a Supervisor and to review applications received from individuals who submitted resumes to be considered for the appointment as a Supervisor and to conduct in person interviews of applicants. If deemed appropriate, the Supervisors will take action, by majority vote, to appoint an individual to fill the vacancy created by the resignation , as well as any and all other business which may come before the Board of Supervisors. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE 2026-065 SHALL BE CONSIDERED, AND IF APPROPRIATE, ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP AT ITS REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2026 AT SEVEN O'CLOCK (7:00 O'CLOCK) P.M. IN THE UPPER MACUNGIE COMMUNITY LIFESTYLE CENTER, MULTIPURPOSE ROOM, 340 GRANGE ROAD, ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA 18106.
ORDINANCE 2026-06 PROPOSES TO REPEAL THE EXISTING CHAPTER 16 (PARKS AND RECRATION) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF UPPER MACUNGIE IN ITS ENTIRETY AND FURTHER PROPOSES THE ADOPTION OF A NEW CHAPTER 16 REGULATING THE USE OF THE TOWNSHIP'S PARK AND RECREATION FACILITIES AND ESTABLISHING RULES RELATED TO THE USE OF TOWNSHIP PARK AND RECREATION FACILITIES WITH SAID REGULATIONS AND RULES BEING SET FORTH MORE FULLY IN THE BODY OF THE ORDINANCE.
A COPY OF THE PROPOSED ORDINANCE SHALL BE ON DISPLAY AT THE UPPER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 7540 WINDSOR DRIVE, 3RD FLOOR, ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M. AND 4:00 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS AND ON FILE AT THE PARKLAND PRESS, 1633 N 26TH ST #6, ALLENTOWN, PA 18104 AS WELL AS THE LEHIGH COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF LAW LOCATED AT LEHIGH COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER 17 SOUTH 7TH STREET ALLENTOWN, PA 18101 WHERE IT MAY BE INSPECTED.
