Notice of Special Meeting and Notice of Intent to Adopt Final Annual 2026-2027 Budget As provided in 53 P.S. 6926.311(a) and 24 P.S. §6-687, each board of school directors is required to adopt a proposed annual budget at least thirty days prior to adopting that annual budget. In conformity therewith, notice is hereby given that the Board of School Directors of the Lehighton Area School District has previously adopted its Proposed Annual Budget for the 2026-2027 school year at its regularly scheduled meeting held on May 26, 2026 and now intends to adopt the Annual Budget for the 2026-2027 school year at a Special Board Meeting to be held on July 6, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. in the Administration Building Board's meeting room located at 1000 Union Street, Lehighton, PA . The purpose of this meeting is to consider and adopt the annual budget and to address any other matters before the Board at that time. This meeting is open to the public and all members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend. The previously posted Proposed Annual Budget contains estimates of revenues and expenditures as well as the proposed tax rates for the 2026-2027 school year.
