The Lower Towamensing Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Lower Towamensing Township Municipal Building, located at 595 Hahn's Dairy Road, Palmerton, PA 18071, to hear the following requests:
AMPAL, Inc. is proposing to construct a ground-mounted solar array on property located at 2115 Little Gap Road. The property is located in an I (Industrial) zoning district. Section 450-102.D of the Lower Towamensing Township Zoning Ordinance requires Conditional Use approval for projects within the 100-year floodplain. Conditional Use approval is requested which requires action of the Board of Supervisors.
The Board of Supervisors will take testimony, deliberate and may vote on these requests at this hearing. A full copy of this application is on file at the Township Office and may be viewed during normal business hours.
