Notice is hereby given that the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners will consider for possible adoption an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, RENEWING THE MILLAGE FREEZE SET FORTH IN LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP CODE, CHAPTER 24, SECTION 24-412 AND AMENDING THE TIME PERIOD REFERENCED IN SECTION 24-415 FOR AN ADDITIONAL TEN (10) YEAR PERIOD IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACT 4 OF 2006, 32 P.S. 5007.1; PROVIDING FOR THE SEVERABILITY OF PARTS OF THIS ORDINANCE DEEMED TO BE INVALID; REPEALING ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.". The proposed ordinance renews for an additional ten (10) years the tax millage freeze on certain preserved real property, as defined in the reference Township Code sections, as previously adopted pursuant to Pennsylvania's Act 4 of 2006. The Board of Commissioners will consider the foregoing Ordinance at a public meeting on October 15, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Municipal Building, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie, Pa. Copies of the full text of this ordinance are available to any interested party for inspection and/or copying at the Township Municipal Building, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie, Pa., or for inspection during normal business hours at the offices of this newspaper, East Penn Press, 1633 N. 26th Street, Allentown, Pa. 18104. All interested parties are invited to attend this public meeting. The Township Municipal Building is accessible to the physically handicapped. Any person that requires special assistance to understand the nature of the business conducted at the above meeting because of visual, hearing, or other impairment is requested to contact Renea Flexer, Township Secretary, at least five days prior to the scheduled hearing to arrange for the necessary assistance.
