NOTICE OF CATASAUQUA ZONING HEARING # 2026-4
NOVEMBER 17, 2026
The Catasauqua Zoning Hearing Board will hear the following appeal on Tuesday November 17, 2026, at 7:30 PM in the Municipal Complex, 90 Bridge Street, Catasauqua PA 18032.
.
Appeal # 2026-4
Appeal of Nicole Gerhart 5007 Foxdale Rd. Whitehall, Pa 18052 for an "SE" Special Exception designation for 507 Walnut St. Catasauqua, Pa. Parcel # 640900582840. The property is located in the R-2 Medium Density Residential Zoning District. The application identifies an existing single-family use and proposes a change to two dwelling units. Section 280-29 A (34) of the Zoning Ordinance and the Table of Permitted Uses Primarily Residential Districts 280 Attachment 1, provide that a use designated "SE" is a special exception use for which the zoning decision is made by the Zoning Hearing Board. Under the applicable Table of Permitted Uses, conversion of an existing building into an increased number of dwelling units in the R-2 Medium Density District requires approval by special exception. Accordingly, authority to approve such a conversion lies with the Borough's Zoning Hearing Board.
Applicants must be present for their hearing. Parties interested in a scheduled hearing may review the application and supporting documents at the municipal building during regular business hours.
