Notice is hereby given that the Lynn Township Zoning Hearing Board (the "Zoning Board") will conduct a public hearing / meeting at the Lynn Township Municipal Building, 7911 Kings Highway, Lynnport PA 18066 on Monday November 16th 2026 at 7:00 p.m. to hear the following appeal(s): Appeal #556, Case #26-01: Mark & Diane Sismour (applicants/owners).
Zoning Relief # 1: Applicants Mark & Diane Sismour are applying for zoning relief in the form of a variance to Lynn Township Zoning Ordinance Section 27-202 (3) which restricts each lot to a single principal use. Alternate Zoning Relief # 2: In the alternate to Zoning Relief # 1, Applicants request zoning relief in the form of an interpretation by the Zoning Board that the structures upon the Subject Property currently used as short-term rental use(s) constitute non-conforming accessory structures as defined in the Lynn Township Zoning Ordinance Section 27-605.
Alternate Zoning Relief # 3: In the alternate to Zoning Relief # 1, Applicants request zoning relief in the form of an interpretation by the Zoning Board that the use of the structures upon the Subject Property as short-term rental use(s) constitute a permitted by right use under Lynn Township Zoning Ordinance Section 27-311. Table of Uses and, if applicable, Lynn Township Zoning Ordinance Section 27-310.
Alternate Zoning Relief # 4: Applicants request zoning relief in the form of an interpretation by the Zoning Board that Applicant's short term rental use of the Subject Property constitutes a conditional use "Bed and Breakfast Facilities" use pursuant to Lynn Township Zoning Ordinance Sections 27-311 and 27-901(4).
The above stated zoning relief language has been provided and approved by Applicants' legal counsel prior to advertisement in connection with the Zoning Board's grant of a conditional continuance at the September 22nd, 2026 hearing in this appeal.

NOTICE
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of School Directors of Panther Valley School District, in Carbon and Schuylkill Counties, Pennsylvania (the "School District"), at its meeting held on October 21, 2026, adopted a resolution (the "Resolution"), the caption and summary of which is as follows:
"RESOLUTION
INCURRING NONELECTORAL DEBT TO BE EVIDENCED BY ITS GENERAL OBLIGATION NOTE, SERIES A OF 2026, IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $930,000, TO REFUND A PORTION OF ITS OUTSTANDING GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES OF 2020, AND TO PAY RELATED COSTS OF ISSUING THE NOTE; ACCEPTING A BANK LOAN PROPOSAL; SETTING FORTH THE TERMS AND SUBSTANTIAL FORM OF THE NOTE; PLEDGING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT'S FULL FAITH, CREDIT AND TAXING POWER, WITHIN THE LIMITS ESTABLISHED BY LAW, TO SECURE THE NOTE; CREATING A SINKING FUND AND APPOINTING A SINKING FUND DEPOSITORY; PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION OF THE REFUNDED BONDS; AND AUTHORIZING RELATED ACTIONS AND DOCUMENTS."
The loan proposal for the General Obligation Note, Series A of 2026 (the "Series A Note") that was accepted by the School Board included a purchase price of $930,000 (100% of the principal amount), and the annual interest rate payable on the Note is fixed at 5.25% until final maturity.
The adopted Resolution was amended to reduce the principal amount of the Series A Note from $995,000 to $930,000 and to incorporate a debt service schedule for the Series A Note. The adopted Resolution, as amended, can be examined in the office of the Secretary of the Board of the School District located at One Panther Way, Lansford, Pennsylvania, on any open business day of the School District between 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. This Notice is given in accordance with the Pennsylvania Local Government Unit Debt Act.
