Coplay Borough, Lehigh County, PA will receive single prime bids until 2:00 PM, prevailing time on September 30, 2025, for the roadway improvements for the 11th Street Roadway Improvement project in Coplay, PA.
The project will be awarded under one (1) Prime Contract. Printed copies of the Plans and specifications are available at no cost on Bonfire, formerly known as PennBid (https://vendor.gobonfire.com).
Bid Submission:
Bids must be submitted electronically through Bonfire. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made payable to the Owner and issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Certified checks shall be delivered to the office of the Architect.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
This project is subject to the provisions of the Borough Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All applicable State labor laws, administrative requirements, and the Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage requirements shall apply as specified in the Bid Documents.
This project is funded in part with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. In accordance with CDBG requirements, the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation goal is 5% and the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) participation goal is 3%. The successful bidder shall submit documentation demonstrating compliance with these goals through the use of MBE/WBE subcontractors or vendors. Failure to meet these requirements may result in a determination of non-responsibility. Additional information can be found in the technical specifications, which are available at no cost on Bonfire.

The regular monthly meeting of the Hanover Township Lehigh County Zoning Hearing Board will be held on September 25, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in the Public Meeting Room of the Municipal Building, at 2202 Grove Road, Allentown, PA 18109, to hear the following appeal.
APPEAL # 2025-05- - ABR Realty, LLC, 159 Liberty Street, Metuchen, NJ 08804. Location: 795 Roble Road, Allentown, PA 18109, PIN 640853488932, the subject property is located in the PIO - Planned Industrial Office Zoning District. Applicant is requesting a Special Exception to section 27-521.3, Table 3.1 of the Zoning Ordinance regarding a monopole for a cellular/ wireless communications pole. The Application proposes to move/relocate an existing cellular/wireless communications pole that is currently on the roof of the existing building. The property was approved for redevelopment, and the pole is now proposed as a separate monopole. No change of use is proposed or contemplated with this application for the approve redevelopment.

Applicant is requesting a variance to section 27-409 and 27-602 of the Zoning Ordinance regarding the maximum permitted structure height in the AI – Airport Industrial Zoning District and the proposed angle and depth of the parking spaces within the proposed five – story parking garage.
