The applicant is Fredericks Grove Road Solar, LLC ("Applicant"). The Applicant seeks conditional use approval to use property located on the westerly side of Fredericks Grove Road in Mahoning Township, identified by Tax Parcel No. 84-35-B6.03 ("Subject Premises"), for Solar Power Generation, Commercial. The Subject Premises is owned by Thomas Pollock, Jr. and Jessica Pollock. The Subject Premises is zoned R-1 Agricultural – Rural pursuant to the Mahoning Township Zoning Ordinance ("Zoning Ordinance"). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Public Meeting of the Borough Council of the Borough of Tamaqua held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room in the Borough Hall, 320 E. Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA, Council considered and took final action upon an Ordinance pursuant to the Local Government Unit Debt Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. Section 8001 et seq., which, among other things, authorizes the incurring of non-electoral debt through the issuance of the Borough's Tax-Exempt General Obligation Note to Peoples Security Bank and Trust Company in the aggregate principal amount of $1,675,000.00 (the "Ordinance"). The title (which summarizes the provisions contained in the Ordinance) is as follows:
"AN ORDINANCE

The only change made to the Ordinance as adopted from the form previously published was to add "community center" to what is to be constructed, as it appears in the Caption.
The Note is being purchased at the face amount of $1,675,000 and the interest rate is fixed for the term of the Note at 4.39%.

The Lower Towamensing Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lower Towamensing Township Municipal Building, located at 595 Hahn's Dairy Road, Palmerton, PA 18071, to hear the following request:
Jeffrey Buck, Jr. is proposing to construct a 50' x 62" pole building on property located at 1460 Walnut Street. The property is located in an R-C (Rural Conservation) Zoning District. Section 602.B.1 of the Lower Towamensing Township Zoning Ordinance limits the size of accessory buildings on lots of more than three (3) acres to a maximum size of 40' x 80'. A Variance is requested which requires action of the Zoning Hearing Board.
The Zoning Hearing Board will take testimony, deliberate and may vote on this request at this hearing. A full copy of this application is on file at the Township Office and may be viewed during normal business hours.
