NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of Jim Thorpe Borough will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of Jim Thorpe Borough. The hearing will be held on November 13, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall located at 115 E. 10th Street, Jim Thorpe, PA.
The summary of the contents of the Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is as follows:
1. A new Section 500-116 will be added regarding non-residential parking lots. This Section sets forth definitions, the requirement for an annual license and regulations of off-street parking.
2. Nonresidential parking lots will be permitted as a primary use, or as a secondary use in all zoning districts within the Borough subject to the restrictions set forth in the Ordinance. No person shall operate or conduct business as a non-residential parking lot without obtaining an annual license.
The full text of the Ordinance in its entirety may be examined at the Jim Thorpe Borough Municipal Building located at 101 East Tenth Street, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
