TOWNSHIP OF POLK MONROE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF POLK TOWNSHIP WHEREAS, the Polk Township Board of Supervisors have been requested by a property owner to rezone a 25.25-acre parcel situate on Interchange Road, Kresgeville, PA 18333. WHEREAS, pursuant to such request the Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on said request for a zoning map change on November 27, 2023; WHEREAS, the Polk Township Board of Supervisors believe that rezoning the property from a Village Center (R-3) Zone to a Commercial (C) Zone is in the best interest of the property owner, as well as the Township; WHEREAS, said 25.25-acre parcel bears property tax identification number 13.7.1.25-1; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is empowered under the Second-Class Township Code and Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code to zone and rezone parcels of real property within the Township; NOW, THEREFORE, be it enacted and ordained by the Board of Supervisors of Polk Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, as follows: 1. The 25.25-acre parcel of property situate on Interchange Road, Kresgeville, PA 18333 bearing county tax identification number 13.7.1.25-1 and described in a certain deed recorded on August 11, 2023 in the Office for the Recording of Deeds, etc. in and for the County of Monroe at Record Book Volume 2635, Page 9433 is by this Ordinance rezoned from a Village Center (R-3) Zone to a Commercial (C) Zone; 2. The official Zoning Map of Polk Township shall be amended to reflect such zoning change. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance shall take effect upon enactment in accordance with law.
