SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the Board of Supervisors of Towamensing Township until 3:30 p.m. on Thursday April 30, 2026, at the Towamensing Township Municipal Building, 120 Stable Road, Lehighton, PA 18235 for the following Contract:
"2026 Asphalt Seal Coat Project" on various streets in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, PA
49,004 Square Yards Double Bituminous Seal Coat
All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders need to be PENNDOT prequalified.
Proposals must be on forms provided by the Township. Proposals shall be marked "2026 Asphalt Seal Coat Project – Bid Proposal for Letting of April 30, 2026". Proposal forms, specifications and bid information can be obtained at the Towamensing Township Municipal Building at the above address or by calling Patricia Kuehner, Secretary, at 610-681-4202, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Towamensing Township.
The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within twenty (20) days of the award of the contract.
All bids will be opened and read publicly at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday April 30, 2026, at the Municipal Building and pending review, awarded at the Thursday May 7, 2026, regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors Meeting at approximately 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows.
The Towamensing Township Board of Supervisors reserve the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Township.

REQUEST FOR BIDS –
ADDITION TO SHECKLER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Catasauqua Area School District will receive sealed bids online via the PennBid Program until 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 for the Sheckler Elementary - Addition project located at 251 North 14th Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. The project will be constructed with the following Prime Contracts: General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction, and Plumbing Construction.
All Contract Documents will be available online at no cost beginning at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, April 16, 2026. Interested respondents may obtain Contract Document containing detailed submission requirements by accessing the Penn Bid Program at www.pennbid.net.
Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract value shall be furnished by the successful bidders as detailed in Contract Documents.
This project is subject to the provisions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
All bids received will be opened electronically via the PennBid Program on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time at 201 North 14th Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Successful bidders will be selected by the Owner at a later date not to exceed sixty (60) days following the opening of bids.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 3:30 P.M. prevailing time, at the project site.
Interested Firms are requested to respond by sealed bid submission satisfying the requirements of this Invitation. Bids shall only be submitted electronically via the Penn Bid Program.
Catasauqua Area School District reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to accept or reject any or all proposals or to waive any informalities in bidding, and to withhold award for a period of up to sixty (60) days.
