NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of Jim Thorpe Borough will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance of Jim Thorpe Borough. The hearing will be held on May 14, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Jim Thorpe Borough Municipal Building, 115 E. 10th Street, Jim Thorpe, PA. The summary of the contents of the Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is as follows: 1. Section 500-12 will be amended to add definitions for Data Center and Data Center Accessory Use. 2. Data Centers and Data Center Accessory Use shall be listed as a special exception use in the industrial zone of the Borough. 3. A new section shall be added setting forth standards for Data Centers and Data Center Accessory uses including dimensional standards, land scape buffer, screening and fencing, noise and vibration, water and sewer, power supply, emergency management and parking.
