NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of Supervisors of Upper Milford Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, that they will conduct a public hearing and thereafter consider and act upon proposed Ordinance No. 175 entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF UPPER MILFORD TOWNSHIP, LEHIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA PROVIDING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE REVISION TO THE UPPER MILFORD TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE OF 2010, AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED" at a public meeting to be held on May 21, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Milford Township Municipal Building located in Old Zionsville, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
Briefly summarized, the proposed Ordinance is being updated to make it consistent with the 2017 Southwestern Lehigh County Comprehensive Plan, the 2019 Future Lehigh Valley Regional Plan and the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. Revisions include reorganizing the Ordinance to make it more user friendly, updating administrative provisions to be consistent with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, revising definitions to eliminate terms no longer applicable or used and adding new terms as needed, revising the Table of Allowed Uses so that all uses and zoning districts are consolidated into one Table, creating separate Articles for use regulations, updating dimensional requirements for each zoning district, updating buffer yards/landscaping so that all provisions for buffer yards are in the Zoning Ordinance and all provisions for landscaping are in the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, revising temporary sign provisions to make them content-neutral, updating parking requirements to eliminate spaces per employee and to reflect all uses, and updating road classifications.
All interested citizenry are invited to attend and comment during the public hearing. A certified copy of this Ordinance is on file with the Upper Milford Township Secretary and may be inspected by the public during normal business hours. In addition, a true and correct copy of this Ordinance has been supplied to this newspaper.

ADDITION TO SHECKLER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Catasauqua Area School District will receive sealed bids online via the PennBid Program until 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 for the Sheckler Elementary - Addition project located at 251 North 14th Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. The project will be constructed with the following Prime Contracts: General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction, and Plumbing Construction.
All Contract Documents will be available online at no cost beginning at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, April 16, 2026. Interested respondents may obtain Contract Document containing detailed submission requirements by accessing the Penn Bid Program at www.pennbid.net.
Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract value shall be furnished by the successful bidders as detailed in Contract Documents.
This project is subject to the provisions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
All bids received will be opened electronically via the PennBid Program on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 10:00 A.M., prevailing time at 201 North 14th Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Successful bidders will be selected by the Owner at a later date not to exceed sixty (60) days following the opening of bids.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 3:30 P.M. prevailing time, at the project site.
