NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following Ordinance may be enacted at a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Mahoning Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, to be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 6:00 P.M, prevailing time, at the Mahoning Township Municipal Building, 2175 Blakeslee Blvd. Dr. West, Lehighton, PA 18235. Ordinance 2026-1 is entitled "AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MAHONING, COUNTY OF CARBON, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING SECTION 24 OF CHAPTER 112 (SECTION 112-24- HANDICAPPED PARKING) OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MAHONING." A brief summary of the Ordinance is as follows: This Ordinance deletes current Paragraph F in Section 24 of Chapter 112 of the Code of Mahoning Township which establishes a fee of $25.00 for a handicapped parking space and replaces it with the following: F. The application for the handicapped parking space shall be accompanied by the application fee. The application fee shall be established by and may be amended from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. The application fee shall be set at an amount sufficient to pay for the labor and materials necessary to establish the handicapped parking space. Copies of this Ordinance in its entirety may be examined at the Mahoning Township Municipal Building, 2175 Blakeslee Blvd. Dr. West, Lehighton, during regular business hours. A copy of this Ordinance has also been provided to The Times News at 594 Blakeslee Blvd. Dr. West, Lehighton, and may be examined there.
