CITY OF BETHLEHEM - NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCES AND ENACTMENT. Notice is hereby given that Bethlehem City Council will consider enactment of the proposed bills (ordinances) summarized below at a City Council meeting in the City of Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda Building (address below). TITLE: BILL NO. 29-2026. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BETHLEHEM, COUNTIES OF LEHIGH AND NORTHAMPTON, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR 2026. SUMMARY: That total appropriations in the 2026 General Fund Budget be increased from $113,222,643 to $113,234,038. And TITLE: BILL NO. 30-2026. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BETHLEHEM, COUNTIES OF LEHIGH AND NORTHAMPTON, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR 2026. SUMMARY: That total appropriations in the 2026 General Fund be decreased from $113,234,038 to $111,169,935. MEETING SCHEDULE: The above bills will be considered at the Tuesday, October 20, 2026 7:00 PM City Council meeting for second reading/vote and enactment. Each bid bond must also be accompanied by a Consent of Surety, signed by the surety, stating that if the contract is awarded to the bidder, the surety will provide the Performance Bond required by the Contract Documents. In the event the Borough awards a one-year contract, the successful bidder will have to provide a Performance Bond or Security in the amount of 50% of the first-year lump sum contract price. In the event the Borough awards a multiple-year contract, the successful bidder will have to provide a Performance Bond or Security in the amount of 50% of the total lump sum contract price divided by the number of years of the contract.
