The Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP/Department) received an NPDES Permit application for Mora Solar, in Kidder Township, Carbon County. The application was deemed administratively complete on December 22, 2025. Written public comments were received during the public comment period.
The Department will hold a public hearing to accept additional comments on the documentation and plans associated with the Individual NPDES Permit Application No. PAD130054 for the discharge of stormwater from construction activities to the following receiving watercourses:

The public hearing will be conducted on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 6:00 p.m.8:00 p.m. at the Jim Thorpe High School located at 1 Olympian Way, Jim Thorpe, Pa 18229. Representatives from the Department's Waterways & Wetlands Program, the Carbon County Conservation District and Mora Solar will be in attendance.
The Department requests that individuals wishing to testify at the hearing submit a written notice of intent to Patrica Monahan, Community Relations Coordinator at: pamonahan@pa.gov. The Department will accept requests up to the day of the hearing. The Department requests that individuals limit their testimony to 5 minutes so that all individuals have the opportunity to testify. The Department can only review comments made with regard to the NPDES Permit Application No. PAD130054 documentation and plans. Written copies of oral testimony are requested. All comments, whether delivered orally during the hearing or submitted in writing will carry equal weight and consideration with DEP. Individuals attending the hearing will have the opportunity to testify if they so desire; however, individuals who preregister to testify will be given priority on the agenda.

Sealed proposals will be received by Lehigh Twp Board of Supervisors, Northampton County until 12:00 p.m. on June 5, 2026, at the Lehigh Twp Municipal Bldg, 1069 Municipal Rd Walnutport Pa 18088 and opened at 12:05 pm the same day for approximately 38,325 square yds of double bituminous seal coat in place on certain roads within Lehigh Twp.
Bids will potentially be awarded at the regular scheduled Supervisor Meeting to be held on June 5, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Specifications can be obtained at the Municipal Bldg between 9:00 am. and 4:00 pm. M-F. 10% Bid bond or certified check must accompany the bids. Successful bidder must submit a performance bond equal to 100% of the proposed project. Lehigh Twp reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or portions of a bid based upon budgetary constraints.
